SOOT BLOWERS our BLOWMATIC type

In every process of combustion, especially with solid fuels, there is production of unburnt deposit deposit and slags which damage by corrosion plant components and reduce their efficiency. The own task of blowers is the periodical reestablishment of the best working conditions, removing deposits which, remaining on tube bundles, reduce heat transfer, and consequently efficiency, in a very massive way. Working at regular time intervals, soot blowers, rightly arranged, throw a pressurized fluid – normally superheated steam – from one or more nozzles, brushing away heaped deposit. Heat transfer surfaces, so cleaned, remain efficient and keep the original heat transfer coefficent. |
|
Fuel saving obtained utilizing soot blowers may reach average values from 5% till 20%. Heat transfer loss grows more than proportionally with the thickness of deposits. It is then evident that the use of soot blowers besides protecting plant from corrosion extending in such a way its service life, it is an economical advantage and a remarkable energy saving. |
